/ˌsentrəl ˈpɑːrk/
- the large park in the middle of Manhattan in New York City. It is very popular but is known to be a dangerous place at night. Concerts are given on the Sheep Meadow in the summer. The park also contains Cleopatra's Needle and a zoo (= a place where wild animals are kept for the public to see them).
