Baywatch
/ˈbeɪwɒtʃ/
/ˈbeɪwɑːtʃ/
- a popular US television series (1989-2001) about lifeguards (= people employed to rescue people who get into difficulty while swimming) on the coast of California. People sometimes made fun of the series because they thought the actors were chosen more for their attractive bodies than because they could act well. One of the best known of these actors was Pamela Anderson.
