- George Nathaniel Curzon (1859-1925) a British diplomat (= person who represents their country abroad) and politician. He became Viceroy of India at the age of only 39. Later (1919-24) he was Foreign Secretary. Curzon had a strong personality and many people thought he was too proud. There was a popular rhyme about him: “My name is George Nathaniel Curzon,I am a most superior person.”
