- a rail bridge over the River Tay near Dundee in Scotland. It was completed in 1878 and collapsed (= broke apart and fell down) in 1879 when a train was crossing. It was one of Britain's first serious rail disasters.
- a second rail bridge over the River Tay near Dundee. It was completed in 1888 and is still in use. A road bridge was built near the rail bridge in the 1960s.
