Lindow Man

- the body of a man found in 1984 preserved in Lindow Moss, an area of soft wet ground in Cheshire, England. Scientists think that he was killed in a religious ceremony at some time between 300 BC and 300 AD, and may have been a local prince. The body can be seen in the British Museum, London. see also Pete Marsh
