- the popular name for Walt Disney World™, the famous US amusement park near Orlando, Florida. It was opened in 1971 and is much larger than Disneyland although it has similar features, such as live Disney characters, Main Street USA, Frontierland and Adventureland. It is about twice the size of Manhattan and is being continuously developed. It includes Magic Kingdom, Disney's Animal Kingdom, EPCOT and Disney's Hollywood Studios.
