A common edible Eurasian mushroom which is white and covered with a slimy fluid, growing on beech trees.Also called poached egg fungus.

Another fungus which grows in clusters on tree trunks has the promising name of poached egg fungus (or porcelain fungus) because of its glistening translucent white cap, which may have a hint of yellow in the centre.
