The cgs unit of kinematic viscosity, corresponding to a dynamic viscosity of 1 poise and a density of 1 gram per cubic centimetre, equivalent to 10−4 square metres per second.More specifically, the invention has been found to be useful for liquids with kinematic viscosities less than ten stokes.
