An infantry regiment originally formed of Cameronians and other Presbyterians in 1689 to fight for William III against the Jacobites.
From 1750 the regiment was officially known as the 26th Regiment of Foot. It was amalgamated with the 90th Perthshire Light Infantry in 1881 and disbanded in 1968..
