Attributive and in the genitive. Designating or relating to a cutaneous test for tuberculosis in which the skin of the forearm is scarified through a drop of tuberculin; especially in Pirquet test.
Origin
Early 20th century; earliest use found in The Lancet. From the name of Clemens von Pirquet, Viennese paediatrician, who introduced the test in 1907.
