A genus of shrubby poppies (family Papaveraceae) native to California and Mexico and comprising the two species Romneya coulteri and R. trichocalyx (sometimes considered as one species); (also romneya) a plant of this genus, grown for its showy white flowers (also called Matilija poppy).
