1 Geology. A spheroidal inclusion in an igneous rock; specifically an inclusion composed of a number of concentric layers. Compare earlier orbicular.
2 Botany. Any of the small droplets of lipid found in tapetal cells of the anther of certain plants, which are released from the cells with a covering of sporopollenin.
