Also: a dance in which the dancer aims to enter a trance, often in order to increase spiritual awareness or as a religious ritual; a dance performed while in a trance or a trance-like state. 3A type of electronic dance music derived from Acid House and techno, characterized by rhythms and sounds intended to be hypnotic or trance-inducing.
