释义 | Ellsberg, Daniel (1931-) US political analyst, economist, and activist. A former adviser to President Nixon on policy in Southeast Asia, he became an avid opponent of the Vietnam War. Indicted for leaking classified Vietnam-related papers (the “Pentagon Papers”) to the press in 1971, he was freed of charges when it was disclosed that Nixon had authorized the theft of Ellsberg’s psychiatric records in order to discredit him. |
