释义 | Mond/mɒnd/noun Attributive Designating industrial processes devised by Ludwig Mond and the plant and products of these processes, especially: (a) a method of manufacturing producer gas by passing air and an excess of steam into a gas producer so that most of the nitrogen of the coal is converted into ammonia and can be recovered; (b) a process for obtaining high-purity nickel by thermal decomposition of volatile nickel carbonyl obtained from crude nickel oxide by reduction with hydrogen followed by reaction with carbon monoxide.
