1The devoicing of a consonant; specifically (in Celtic languages) the change over a period of time of voiced consonants to the corresponding voiceless consonants (e.g. of g, d, b, v to k, t, p, f) under the influence of another consonant.
2The transposition of the final letter of a word to the beginning of the word that follows. Compare metanalysis rare.
