Militant tendency /ˈmɪlɪt(ə)nt ˈtɛndənsi/British Political History nounA Trotskyite political organization, publisher of the weekly newspaper Militant (1964–97).- This organization was at no time an official subdivision of the British Labour Party; however in the 1980s it was alleged to be involved in infiltration of the Labour Party, and a number of its members were expelled from Labour Party membership.
