A car produced by welding together the front section of one damaged or stolen car and the back section of another; the practice of producing cars in this manner. Hence: a model of vehicle manufactured to a design that uses elements of the body shape of two or more existing models, or that elongates or shortens an existing body shape. Also (in extended use): a hybrid; something which incorporates elements of others of its type, especially clumsily or obviously.
