Definition of Petrie, Sir Flinders in English: Petrie, Sir Flindersproper nounˈpiːtriˈpētrē (1853–1942), English archaeologist and Egyptologist; full name Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie. He began excavating the Great Pyramid in 1880.
