Furrow Measurer

a device for measuring the depth of a furrow in plowing. The furrow measurer consists of two plates of equal length, one of which is marked in centimeters. To determine the depth of a plowed field, small surfaces of the field are leveled at previously marked points. A vertical slit is made in the plowed surface, and its depth is measured.
