Gorniak
a city (prior to 1969 a settlement) in the Lokot’ Raion, Altai Krai, RSFSR. It is located in the extreme southwestern part of the krai on the Zolotukha River (a tributary of the Alei) 4 km from the Neverovskaia railway station on the Lokot’-Ust’-Kamenogorsk Line. Population, 17,000 (1970). The principal industry is the extraction of polymetals. There is a crushing and sorting plant, a butter and cheese factory, and a poultry farm.
Gorniak
a city (since 1958) in Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, 7 km from the railroad station of Tsukurikha on the Krasnoarmeiskoe-Rutchenkovo line. Population, 15,000 (1970). Gorniak is a coal-mining town; it has a complex of auxiliary enterprises turning out such products as reinforced concrete slabs and cinder blocks.
