Location:In southeast Massachusetts, near Fall River and Taunton; access via Rt 24 south to Exit 10.
Facilities:Picnic area, wading pool, fields, restrooms (é), trails, historic site, scenic views.
Activities:Fishing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, motorcycle riding(no ATVs), hunting (with restrictions), snowmobiling, dog sledding,cross-country skiing.
Special Features:Forest is the site of a 227-acre Wampanoag Indian Reservation. ProfileRock, a 50-foot natural rock outcropping, shows a profile that theWampanoags believe to be Chief Massasoit.
