Pityriasis lichenoides et varioliformis acuta. An immune disorder of acute onset, which is more common in young men and characterised by successive waves of maculopapular, erythematous eruptions on the anterior trunk and flexor surfaces of the proximal parts of the extremities. Some cases have been linked to cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.Management
PUVA, corticosteroids, antibiotics, methotrexate; short- and long-term remission may occur.
