an urban-type settlement in Balakhna Raion, Gorky Oblast, RSFSR, located 3 km from the Balakhna railroad station on the Gorky-Zavolzh’e branch. Its industries include excavating peat, using the milling method, as well as foundry sand. There is also a briquette factory in Gidrotorf.
