Bereznik

an urban-type settlement; administrative center of Vinogradovskii Raion, Arkhangel’sk Oblast, RSFSR. Dock on the left bank of the Severnaia Dvina, 192 km southeast of the Kholmogorskaia railroad station (on the Konosha-Arkhangel’sk line) and 276 km from Arkhangel’sk. Population, 4,000 (1968). There is a dairy and vegetable sovkhoz, a logging and timber distribution establishment, and a timber-rafting office.
