It is an industrial and residential suburb of Tokyo, known for the production of automobiles, electric appliances, and iron goods. Fujisawa is also a resort town noted for its Shojokoji (Buddhist) temple.Fujisawa a city in Japan, on the island of Honshu, in Kanagawa Prefecture, near Yokohama. Population, 254,600 (1973). Fujisawa produces transport equipment and ball bearings. The city also has steel foundries. A seaside resort is located on the shore of the Sagami Sea. |
