Fuhsin

a city in Northeast China, in Liaoning Province. Population, more than 350,000 (1962). A center of the coal-mining industry, Fuhsin has a steam power plant. The city produces chemical products, including synthetic liquid fuel, and machinery, including mining equipment and tractors. It has plants of the textile and food-processing industries. Fuhsin is connected by rail with the port of Hulutao and with Mukden.
