Agreement of Antidumping Practices

Agreement of Antidumping Practices

An international agreement prohibiting a signatory country from "dumping," which refers to exporting goods for lower than their market value. Specifically, the agreement states that a country cannot export any good to a country at a price that would negatively impact the local market for that good. Countries are allowed to charge a tariff or other duty to make up for the difference in price. This Agreement is overseen by the World Trade Organization.
