Gaivoron

a city, center of Gaivoron Raion, Kirovograd Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, situated on the Iuzhnyi Bug River. Railroad junction. Population, 14,400 (1970). Gaivoron has railway service enterprises and a butter and cheese plant. Granite is quarried and graphite ores are extracted near the city.
