Giant White Rabbit

 

a species of large white rabbit used for its meat and pelts. The length of the giant white rabbit’s torso is 60–65 cm or more. Its liveweight is 5.3–5.8 kg. The pelts are used in their natural form and in imitations of the fur of valuable fur animals (the northern fur seal, sable, and others). Giant white rabbits are raised in European countries. In the USSR they are raised on fur-breeding sovkhozes in Voronezh, Kursk, Saratov, and Novosibirsk oblasts, in the Tatar ASSR, and in other regions of the country.
