(gas'trō-tok'sin), A cytotoxin specific for the cells of the mucous membrane of the stomach.

gastrotoxin

A nonspecific term for:
(1) Any substance toxic to the stomach. 
(2) An autoantibody with affinity for gastric cells (e.g., anti-parietal cell antibody) or gastric products (anti-intrinsic factor antibody).
