Dzhoiskii

a mountain range in the northern part of the Zapadnyi Saian, in the area between the Abakan and Enisei rivers (Khakass Autonomous Oblast). It is about 75 km long and reaches an altitude of 1,439 m. It is made up chiefly of shale and limestone, with intrusions of “Dzhoiskii” granite in places. On the northern slopes there are mixed larch and pine forests up to an altitude of 800-900 m, and dark coniferous taiga at higher altitudes.
