Sugar is refined there, and the varied manufacturing includes diamond cutting, tobacco farming, and the production of plastic and leather goods.Caguas a city in eastern Puerto Rico. Population, 95, 000 (1970). A highway links it with the port of San Juan. Caguas is a commercial center of an agricultural region (sugarcane, tobacco, fruit, livestock).
