Ezhemesiachnye Sochineniia k Pol’ze i Uveseleniiu Sluzhashchie

 

(Monthly Papers Serving Useful and Diversional Purposes), one of the first scholarly, scientific, and literary journals in Russia. The journal was published in St. Petersburg by the Academy of Sciences from 1755 through 1764, the idea of founding it having come from M. V. Lomonosov. Edited by Academician G. F. Miller, the historian, it carried scholarly and scientific articles in various fields of knowledge and had a circulation of up to 2,000.
