Eyre, Wilson

(1858–1944) architect; born in Florence, Italy. He came to America as a student and in Philadelphia, alone and in partnership with John G. McIlvaine (1912–39), designed over 350 houses and other buildings.

Eyre, Wilson

(1858–1944)Italian-born American architect, celebrated mostly for his Shingle style residential designs in Philadelphia. He designed the Free Museum at the University of Pennsylvania in 1926, and was associated with Frank Miles Day and Cope & Stewardson.
