单词 | collective trespass |
释义 | collective trespasscollective trespassa series of crimes created by the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 with a view to controlling the activities of New Age travellers, hunt saboteurs and protesters. Police officers can ask two or more persons reasonably believed to be trespassing for the purposes of residing there to leave if any person has caused damage to land or property or used threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards the occupier; or they have between them six or more vehicles on the land. Failure to move, or returning within three months, is an offence. The vehicles can be seized. Aggravated trespass is committed where a person trespasses on land in the open and does anything that is intended to have the effect of intimidating those engaged in lawful activities on the land or adjoining land, or obstructing or disrupting such activities. It is possible to obtain prohibition orders against trespassory assemblies (unauthorized assemblies of 20 or more persons that could cause serious disruption). |
