Special Features:Park is located in the Black Hills and has spectacular terrain. One of the scenic drives in the area is Needles Highway (SD 87), which passes towering rock formations and goes through narrow tunnels. At the end of one tunnel stands the Needles Eye, a granite spire with a slit only 3 to 4 feet wide but reaching 30 to 40 feet in the air. There are four resorts at the park, each with its own personality and activities.
