behavioural optometry

behavioural optometry

A so-called holistic form of optometry which claims to improve vision by therapy, behavioural modification and ocular exercises, based in large part on AM Skeffington’s theories.

Three peer-reviewed publications tested patients and/or reviewed the field of behavioural optometry from the mid-1940s until 2008 and concluded that there was no compelling evidence to support the efficacy of the behavioural optometry.
