Dyje

 

a river in Czechoslovakia and Austria, a right tributary of the Morava in the Danube basin. It has a length of 302 km and a basin area of 13,400 sq. km. The Dyje flows along the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The average rate of flow at the river’s mouth is 45 cu m per sec. Timber is floated on the river, and there is a hydroelectric power plant. The city of Znojmo (Czechoslovakia) is situated on the Dyje.
