In Treasury securities, the most recently auctioned issue. Trading is more active in current issues than in off-the-run issues. Also known as on-the-run issue.

In Treasury securities, the most recent issue. Current issues trade much more actively than older issues of Treasury securities. At any given time, there is a current issue for each type of Treasury security: notes, bills, and bonds and all their subcategories with different maturities. For example, a 20-year Treasury bond and a 30-year Treasury bond have two different current issues, but, in both cases, it is the most recently auctioned one.
