Klump·ke pal·sy

(klūmp'kĕ), an obstetric palsy with paralysis of the muscles of the distal forearm and hand (all ulnar innervated muscles, plus the more distal radial and median-innervated muscles), caused by a lesion of the lower trunk of the brachial plexus, or of the C8 and T1 cervical roots. (dĕ-zhĕ-rēn' klump'kĕ sin'drōm) Injury or lesion of the inner cord of the brachial plexus; marked by numbness, hyperesthesia, pain on the ulnar side of the arm, and atrophy of hand muscles with eventual paralysis. Also associated with vision defects and Horner syndrome.
