dimensional stability[də·′men·chən·əl stə′bil·əd·ē] (graphic arts) The percentage of change in size of paper under two different conditions of temperature and humidity. (materials) The ability of a material, such as a textile or plastic, to hold its shape over a period of time and under specific conditions.
