Dvinitsa

a river in the Vologoda Oblast, RSFSR. A left tributary of the Sukhona. Length, 174 km; basin area, 2,400 sq km. In the lower reaches it flows to the southwest along the southern slope of the Kharovsk Ridge. The Dvinitsa is fed mainly by snow and rain and is used for floating timber.
