Cumberland Mountains

A range of the Appalachian Mountains extending about 210 km (130 mi) from the Kentucky-Virginia border to central Tennessee and rising to about 1,200 m (3,900 ft). The Cumberlands sit on the eastern edge of the Cumberland Plateau, an upland area comprising the southern section of the Appalachian Plateau.
