(ă-gres'iv per'ē-ō-don'tăl dĭz-ēz') Rapid periodontal attachment loss and bone destruction in people who are otherwise clinically healthy; familial tendency. It can be either a localized form, in which molars and incisors are affected, or generalized. Associated bacteria are Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans and Porphyromonas gingivalis.
