Location:20 miles northwest of Platte off SD 44.
Facilities:44 modern campsites (41 with electricity), 2 cabins (é), swimming beach, picnic shelter, picnic areas, boat ramp, fish cleaning station, playground.
Activities:Camping, boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming.
Special Features:An interpretive sign near the park tells the story of Private George Shannon, a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition who was lost here for nearly two weeks. When he was found, he learned that the expedition had been downstream from him the entire time.
