Cuchilla de Haedo

 

(Cuchilla de Aedo), ridge in northwestern Uruguay; the eastern edge of the Paraná lava plateau, dropping sharply to the east. Maximum elevations, 420 m. A subtropical grassy savanna (campos limpos) grows on the plateau and the lowland adjoining it on the east; evergreen and deciduous trees and shrubs cover the ledge.
