Buri Gandaki
Buri Gandaki
a river in Nepal and India; a left tributary of the Ganges. More than 500 km long, it originates in the Mahabharat Range (Himalaya mountain system). Upon emerging from the mountains the Buri Gandaki flows through the broad valley of the Ganges Plain in a tortuous branched bed. The Baghmati River is the largest tributary in terms of the amount of water. The water level is high during the summer monsoon rains. The Buri Gandaki is used for irrigation.
