Entry Room

(in Russian, zakhodka), a short, narrow underground working (horizontal, inclined, vertical, cross, coupled, or counter) directly adjacent to the working space or separated from it during excavation by a small pillar of the mineral. Entry rooms are intended for direct sloping of the mineral or for the placement of drilling equipment in it (during the sloping work).
