a province in Argentina, in the interfluve between the Paraná and Uruguay rivers. Area, 76,200 sq km. Population, 821,000 (1970). The capital is Paraná. Entre Ríos is a leading area of agricultural production. Of particular importance are livestock raising for meat and dairy products, poultry raising, and the cultivation of oil flax and grain.
